Diane Senterfitt and Geoff Weisbart created Alliebeck Kennels to preserve a breed type developed by them over more than 19 years and to promote their hard work and commitment to the Golden Retriever and more recently, the German Shorthaired Pointer.

Each of our childhoods included family dogs of different breeds including Goldens. We grew up with wonderful and loving dogs, and we know, and have witnessed, the impact a family dog can have on a child's life and on an adult's life. No matter what one's age, a dog's impact is indiscriminant.

Our lifelong experience with dogs, the opportunity to own and operate a boarding kennel and our membership in breed and kennel clubs have provided the education and the study of various breeds, have blessed us with friendships with many knowledgeable people and mentors and have provided the stepping-stones for the background and knowledge to build a breeding program that maintains and improves the breed's standard and superior qualities. Our knowledge and program did not occur overnight, but have been a long delightful journey and continue to grow and improve.

We have been blessed with some very special and great dogs: our first champion CH Stella By Starlight IV BVISS and her son, GCH CH Alliebecks For Pete's Sake SDHF, our first Show Dog Hall of Fame and Top Twenty Qualifier. We do not believe in breeding mediocrity; we believe that only the best of the best should be used in a breeding program. Our breeding program also strictly complies with the standards and health clearances required by the official breed clubs' Codes of Ethics.
